SPRING Qigong
Classes
Qigong (pronounced “chee-gong) is one aspect of Traditional
Chinese Medicine. Qigong promotes health
through the practice of slow, meditative movement. The practice of Qigong can help improve
strength, balance, and mental focus. It
is also believed to enhance immune system function. Simple, dance-like exercises are taught
individually, and are then performed together in a sequence. The gentle movements can be done sitting,
standing, or even lying down and so the benefits of Qigong are accessible to
everyone, regardless of their physical challenges or limitations.
To register for a class, please call 703-623-8340. All classes will take place at my acupuncture
office, 443 Carlisle Drive in Herndon, in the ground floor studio.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) promotes the idea of

of the new season. As we shake off the
dullness, dark, and cold of the Winter we can see life anew as fresh and full
of possibilities. The exercises
discussed in this class will focus on the organs associated with the Spring
season – the Liver, Gall Bladder, and the eyes. This class includes an overview of TCM Five Element Theory which will
enhance your understanding and practice of the individual movements.
